A DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL mark discourages accidental sharing and makes clear which version of a document is in circulation. Doing that should not require sending the file to an unknown service.
This tool draws a text watermark on every page with control over size, angle, opacity and colour. The mark is vector text, so it stays crisp at any zoom level.
How to watermark PDF
- 1 Add the PDF and type the watermark text.
- 2 Adjust size, opacity, angle and colour — the preview shows the first page.
- 3 Apply to every page and download the watermarked file.
Good to know
- The built-in font covers Latin characters; CJK watermark text is not supported yet.
- A watermark is a visual deterrent, not a security control: it can be removed with a PDF editor.
Frequently asked questions
Can I watermark only some pages?
The current version applies the mark to every page. For a single page, extract that page first, watermark it, then merge it back.
Does the watermark block copying?
No. It is visible text drawn over the page. If you need to restrict copying, password protection and permissions are the correct mechanism.
Why does my Chinese text not appear?
The tool uses a built-in Latin font to keep the page load small. Non-Latin watermark text requires embedding a font and is on the roadmap.
