About this tool
Merging is the most common PDF task there is: a signed cover page, three attachments, and a spreadsheet exported as PDF. Most online tools solve it by uploading every file to a server, combining them there, and sending the result back.
This tool reads each file directly in your browser, copies its pages into one new document, and saves the result to your device. If the files are client contracts, medical records, or anything under an NDA, that difference is the whole point.
How to merge PDF
- 1 Add two or more PDF files, then drag rows or use the arrows to set the order.
- 2 Press Merge and wait for the progress to finish — nothing leaves your device.
- 3 Download the combined PDF. The original files stay untouched.
Good to know
- Password-protected PDFs need the password removed before merging.
- Bookmarks and form fields survive the merge; interactive scripts in the source files do not.
Frequently asked questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
Up to 30 files per run, with no page limit. The real constraint is your device memory: merging several hundred megabytes of scanned pages works on a desktop browser and may fail on a phone.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as-is, so text, vectors and images keep their original quality. Only the document structure is rewritten.
Can I change the page order?
Yes — reorder whole files before merging. To reorder individual pages, merge first and then use the Extract Pages or Delete Pages tool.
Are the files uploaded to your server?
There is no server for documents. The merge runs in JavaScript on your device; you can confirm it by watching the Network tab while the tool works.
